Omaha native Kayla Trusler is Bluestone’s new Property Manager at Boss. She claims to be “not too interesting at this point in my life.” 

It's impossible to tell if that's true, but she sticks to her story. She does admit to having a couple of little French bulldogs, so that's interesting. “They are a year apart, but people always say, Oh, are they brothers? They do have different colorings. One is gray and white, and the other is white with brindle spots.”

“I don't really have too many, I guess, hobbies or anything like that outside of work. I used to do volleyball. I don't anymore. Honestly, I just work and go home.” However, she does like horseback riding in the summer. Kayla is close with her mom and brothers, and they frequently plan movie nights where she is happy to let her younger brother pick the movie, usually a new release. 

When she's at home, she likes reading crime books, both novels and nonfiction, and she’s currently reading Fair Play by Louise Hegarty. And like most of the people we know, she does indulge in a little TV. “I like to watch series, action or true crime shows, and documentaries.” Dateline is the one show that Kayla is willing to name, but that is as specific as she’s willing to get.

“And obviously I like typical girl stuff, shopping, hanging out with my friend. She also works in property management. We like to go out for breakfast on the weekends.”  

Once we got out our pliers, we were able to extract one non-work-related goal. Kayla readily admits, “I do want to go on a cruise, either this year or next year. I kind of wanted to do something with the Caribbean vibe. I'd like to try Caribbean food.” She will soon discover that most of her fellow Bluestoners love to travel and will approve of this plan.
