Hi, I’m Hilary Simpson
The new Property Manager at the Capital District, Hilary Simpson, was born and raised in Omaha. She went to college in Lincoln, where she studied Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Management with two minors, one in Business Administration and the other in Leadership and Communications.
Did you know that there is a purebred animal adoption pipeline? Hilary does, which is how she came to drive eight hours to Wisconsin one night to visit family and, coincidentally, pick up her little blond cat. Bakeza is an Exotic Shorthair who was named, lost, and rescued in Kuwait. Hilary also has a smushy-faced little feline named Percy who looks like a baby owl, which is really one of the best babies to look like.
When it comes to escapism, Hilary loves movies and reality television, especially Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “Lisa Rinna! She takes some time, she definitely takes some time. When she was first on Beverly Hills, I was like uh-uh, nope, no no no no no, this woman is absolutely off her rocker, no way.” But she goes on to explain how Lisa won her over by being so real, so tough, and a loving, loyal daughter. Family is very important to Hilary, so she respects anyone who shares that value.
“My boyfriend, Cameron, and I have been working on a converted van project. It's almost finished, but I have a lot more I want to see done in it. Make it pet-friendly, and friendly for me when I want to go. And I need to add the homey, feminine touch to the van like I did with our home. I am thinking homemade curtains would give it the heart I envision.”
The plan is, once the van is ready, they will take a big trip starting in Nebraska and ending in Oceanside, Oregon, where the beach scenes from the Twilight movies were filmed. “The little movie dork in me would love to see that in real life. Better than Oceanside would be Astoria, where they filmed Kindergarten Cop. That's one of my favorites.”
Welcome to Bluestone, Hilary.
This is my desk.
