Bluestone’s newest Leasing Consultant grew up in nearby Bellevue, but like many born-and-raised Bellevuetonians (Bellevuians? Bellevueites?), Preston Scott spent a lot of time hanging out in Omaha. And now that he actually lives here, he still likes to do just that.

“Whatever free time I have, I just like to hang out with friends and family. Activities depend on what's open and what's the weather. We like the zoo. And my family is big on board games.”

Preston is one of those guys who really likes to be in the car. “With friends, it's driving around finding things to do and just hanging out. On weekends, we'll go downtown or to the Aksarben area. We’ll go out to eat. I like checking out little shops, especially downtown. With all the construction and how much damage it's doing to small businesses, I like supporting them.”

Another thing Preston likes to do in his car is sing, an activity he has enjoyed for a very long time. “I used to do show choir. It was really cool because every single time it's different. You get nerves every time, but it's good nerves.” He still misses it and will occasionally go to show choir competitions just to get his fix.

He plans to get his real estate license, a process he hopes to get started on this year. “I used to be a CNA, and I worked in a nursing home. I just really love that personal connection you get. I love that within leasing, too, because you get to meet new people every day, but then you also remember familiar faces.”

Preston made clear that leasing doesn't remind him of the nursing home, “But it's using a lot of the same skills and passion. I take that and put it into all the properties I go to.” These sound like qualities that make for a great career. We are glad you're with us, Preston!
